The agrochemical market remain stable during the critical period of preventing autumn crop diseases and pests.

According to the monitoring of ICAMA in July, the national pesticide market remained stable in general, including the basically stable insecticide market, more active fungicide wholesale market, cooling herbicide wholesales and retails, and continuously stable price of all kinds of pesticides.

In the wholesale link, the total sales volume decreased by 3.72% year-on-year, of which, the sales volume of insecticides remained stable, up 3.41% on a year-on-year basis; the fungicide sales witnessed a substantial growth, as high as 14.87%; the sales volume of herbicides decreased by 16.62%. The inventory of pesticides of all kinds contracted. For instance, the inventory of insecticides, fungicides and herbicides shrunk by 6.84%, 10% and 14.05% respectively on a year-on-year basis. The wholesale price remained stable in general. For examples, the average price of pesticides fell slightly by 0.12%, that of fungicides declined moderately by 0.12%, and that of herbicides remained the same with the previous month.

In the retail link, all kinds of pesticides witnessed a contraction in sales, of which, the sales volume of insecticides dropped by 1.67%, that of fungicides decreased by 7.77%, and that of herbicides fell by a large margin, about 15.59%. In terms of price, only few products saw adjustments and the price adjustment was mostly between 0.5 and 1 yuan. Basically, the average price of insecticides remained the same level with that of the previous month, that of fungicides dropped slightly by 0.23%, and that of herbicides shrunk by 0.81%.
